Amongst the many collectibles to acquire and locations to visit, players will need to put quite some time into the game to acquire the Platinum for Ghost of Yotei. When going for the 100%, the Fox Dens is a necessary step that rewards the player with a Charm on every den.
Some of these charms might never be used, but they do have their niche uses. Fox Dens can be easily spotted by locating the red trees in the different regions. The guide below provides the location of the fox dens needed for the Guardian of Inari trophy in Ghost of Yotei.

All Yotei Grasslands Fox Dens in Ghost of Yotei

The first Fox is directly below Lake Shikotsu on the map. You must follow the orange fox as it leads you to another fox that you must free. After that, it will lead you to the Inari Shrine, where you can bow down for the charm. |

This fox is to the slight right of the Golden Foothills, which is north of Yotei Grasslands. You will have to visit this area to progress through the Oni’s questline. Follow the fox, and it will lead you to a ditch where a man cannot get back up. Help him up, and he will take you to a save with the shrine. |

This is above the “K” in Ishikari Fork on the map. When you first reach this den, you will not be able to normally enter, as there is fire everywhere. Go around to find a rock you can climb, then jump to hook across to the fox. It will lead you to a wall you can squeeze through and go onto the Shrine. |

You can find this den north of Nakagoya Spring, and the fox will lead you to several small gaps in the walls with Demon masks. There will be purple crates here as well, so do not forget to grab them. |

This den is to the north of Ohara Plains on the map. Ride your horse there and start following the fox. It will stop multiple times as it leads you to items that you can pick up, and you have to pet them afterward. After a few of these, it will take you to the Shrine. |

This is to the northeast of Kankan Creek. When you follow the fox, be careful, as it will take you over deer traps that you can fall into. At the end, talk to the Ainu to get the charm. There is no shrine here. |

You can find this south of the Sarafutsu River. There are enemies outside the fox den that you will have to deal with before the fox comes out. You might also run into enemies hiding inside bushes when following the fox. As you go forward, the fox will lead you to more enemies that are guarding cages where the foxes are kept. Deal with the enemies using your weapons and free the foxes to find the shrine up ahead. |
All Oshima Coast Fox Dens in Ghost of Yotei

For this den, you will need to access the Oshima Coast region, which unlocks after progressing through the Saito Brothers questline. Once here, make your way above the Matsumae Castle to find the last fox den. Follow it to the courtyard, where you can find the Shrine. |
How to Get the Fox Mask in Ghost of Yotei
After finding all the fox dens and getting the charms, you can now go to the Sarafutsu Lighthouse, where you can complete the Encounters of the Wild (Side Tale). There are a couple of puzzles throughout this Tale, so be sure to check this guide for the solutions. After solving the puzzles, you will reach the Hunting Camp Hideout.
There is no need to worry about enemies because there are none.
You can free the fox here and follow it to the Sanctuary Grove. Go towards the house to find a Settler whom you can talk to, which finishes the quest, and you can follow the deer to a nearby Altar of Reflection. Once the quest is completed, you can talk to the woman again, and she will give you Inari’s Cunning Mask, and the trophy will also unlock.
