The ex-Barcelona boss, who won three trophies in his maiden season in France including the Ligue 1 title, has come under pressure for the first time since he took charge of PSG in the summer of 2023. While the reigning champions have remained consistent in the league in the 2024-25 campaign and maintain a healthy seven-point lead at the top of the table, despite a 1-1 draw against Nantes last Sunday, their performance in Europe is what has come under the scanner.

Les Parisiens have won just one game out of their first five matches in the Champions League this season as they currently find themselves 25th with just three games to go in the league stage. Amid speculations over the Spaniard's future in the French capital, club president Al-Khelaifi has clarified his stance on Enrique's position at the club.

Speaking to , the PSG chief said: "I can’t believe what is being written [about Luis Enrique] and I even find it ridiculous, but we won’t let it affect our football at all […] we have a short, medium, and long-term strategy and I have full faith in the manager, in the players, and all of our team."
